Election Commission chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof made the announcement 'live' on TV today, ending speculations which started in May last year and dragged on almost a year later.

With 222 Parliament and 505 State seats up for grab, Barisan Nasional is into a 'head-on collision' fight with Pakatan Rakyat in defending its 55-year Federal dominance.

While Pakatan Rakyat's components namely PAS, DAP and PKR are in a tug-of-war over seat allocation, Barisan Nasional is expected to unveil its candidates later today.

Earlier today, BN chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak met coalition representatives at the Putra World Trade Centre to shore up the BN election machinery. A press conference is also slotted in the evening.

Najib, who is spearheading BN charge for the first time after taking over as prime minister four years ago, has indicated that he would name the candidates early and there would be surprises.

Well... we will wait!
